THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Pay Commission Chairman Justice C N Ramachandran Nair will submit the tenth pay commission report before Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Friday.
The report recommends retaining of 27 posts as well as hiking salaries in the range of Rs 2000 to 12000 for various posts. Rs 6000 crore has already been earmarked for the wage revision though the government’s financial obligations comes below Rs 5000 crore. There is also suggestion for increasing the pension age fron 56 to 58.
In the first phase of the report, the emphasis is on wage/pension structure. In the second phase of the report of the commission, whose tenure has been extended to November 30, the details of comprehensive life insurance scheme for the employees will be incorporated.
In the commission, TV Geroge is a member and K V Thomas is member secretary.
