    CIRCULAR LETTER No.27/166/2015/61
    31-12-2015

TO ALL OFFICE BEARERS, STATE FEDERATIONS,
    ALL INDIA BANKWISE ORGANISATIONS

    Dear Comrades,
Make 8th Jan. strike a total success

We have informed all our units that how despite the clear advice of the Chief Labour Commissioner to put the implementation of the Career Progression Scheme on hold, the Associate Bank managements were adamant in the conciliation meeting held yesterday due to which no amicable solution could be worked out. Hence we have advised all our units and members to go ahead and observe the strike on 8th January, 2016.

    1. Since AIBEA has served the Strike Notice, our unions need not serve any separate notice or letter to respective bank managements.

    2. All our members in all the Banks in public sector banks, private banks and foreign banks should join the strike.

    3. Our members in Co-operative Banks and Regional Rural Banks are exempted from this strike action. But they will join in all other programmes.

    4. All employees on probation shall also join the strike.

    5. Watch and ward staff who are to be on actual watchman/security duty on the strike day alone should be exempted from the strike. Other watch and ward staff should join the strike.

    6. As already clarified in an earlier occasion, employees on the verge of retirement should also join the strike as there would no effect of the participation on their retirement benefits.

    7. Badge Wearing programme is on 5th Jan. 2016.

    8. Dharna should be held in all State capitals on that day.

    9. Demonstrations should be held in all centres on 7th Jan. 2016 either during lunch hours or in the evening preferably before branches of Associate Banks.

10.On the strike day i.e. 8th January, 2016, massive demonstrations should be held in all centres.

11.Proper publicity should be given to our programme so that the same gets covered in the newspapers and the electronic media.

12.Photographs of the demonstrations, processions, rallies, Dharna, etc. are to be sent to us.

13.Reports about the implementation of the programme and strike action should be sent to our Central office after the strike day.

Comrades, the implications of the challenge are serious. It is unilateralism and arbitrariness of the management. It is an attack on collective bargaining rights of the trade unions. It is an attack on bilateralism and our Settlement. Hence we must record on strongest protest against the same.

We must express our stoutest opposition to the same.

We request all our units to take all steps to mobilise our members in full and make the strike a total success.

    With greetings,
    Yours Comradely

    Sd/-
    C.H. VENKATACHALAM
    GENERAL SECRETARY
