    Sub: Cases of promotion taking place in the pre-revised pay structure between 1.1.2006 and and the date of notification of CSS (RP) Rules, 2008 and the subsequent merger of the pre-revised pay scales of the promotional and the feeder posts in a common Grade fixation of pay-reg. 2015.

    (ii) NFIR's letter No. I/2/Part III dated 05/11/2015 addressed to Railway Board.

    Federation vide its letter dated 05/11/2015 provided a copy of OM No. F-2-1/2015.E II(A) dated 16th October 2015, issued by the Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure) to the Railway Ministry, duly conveying Government's decision for fixation of pay of staff promoted in the pre-revised pay structure during the period 01/01/2006 and the date of notification of CCS (RP) Rules 2008 when the pre-revised and revised pay structure were different and the posts carried the character of feeder and promotional grades, now carrying same Grade Pay only duly allowing benefit under Rule 13 of the CCP(RP) Rules for issuing corresponding instructions. A period of over 5 months has passed, unfortunately, instructions have not been issued by the Railway Board so far.

    NFIR, therefore, once again requests the Railway Board to issue corresponding instructiorts in favour of railway employees soon.
