    Subject: Information on House Rent Allowance — regarding 


    The undersigned s directed to refer to the demands of various Ministries / Departments f National Council (Staff Side), JCM raised before the Committee on Allowances for revision of rates of House Rent Allowance (HRA) recommended by the 7th Central Pay Commission. 

    2. In this context, the Committee on Allowances headed by the Finance Secretary & Secretary (Expenditure) has desired that the information relating to occupancy of Government accommodation and the officers / officials drawing HRA (not allotted Government accommodation) may be obtained. 

    3. In view of the above, it is requested that the information in following format may please be sent through mail at vijayk.singh@nic.in and abhay.sahay@nic.in by Monday i.e. 27th February, 2017:

    Please find enclosed copy of Min. of Defence, Deptt. of Expenditures, ID No. 11-1/2016-IC/Pt.II dated 23.02.2017 on the subject received through MoD/D (Civ-I).

    1. Ministry in their ID has stated that the committee on Allowances headed by the Finance Secretary and secretary (Expenditure) has desired that the information relating to occupancy of Govt. accommodation and the officers/officials drawing HRA (not allotted Govt. accommodation) may be obtained.
