    Dear Sir,

Sub: Payment of Incentive Bonus to the Supervisors (SSEs) of Road Transport Shop in Carriage & Wagon Repair Workshop Perambur on Southern Railway – PNM Item No. 24/2014.

    Ref; (i) NFIR's PNM Item No. 24/2014.
    (ii) NFIR's letter No. I/11 dated 28/09/2015.

During NFIR's PNM meeting held with the Railway Board on 8th/9th October 2015, the Official Side stated that incentive bonus is not admissible to SSEs of Road Transport Shop at C&W Repair Workshop, Perambur. The Federation, however, did not agree and stated that the Railway Board's letter No. 99/M (prod)/814/35 dated 22/05/2000 clearly mentions that incentive bonus is to be paid to the Supervisors looking after both incentive and non-incentive sections with further stipulation that the same should be in the ratio of the direct workers under the incentive scheme plus direct workers under non-incentive scheme. This stipulation entitles the SSEs working in the Road Transport shop of C&W Repair Workshop, Perambur for palmrent of Incentive bonus. Also Federation handed over a copy of its letter of even number dated 28/09/2015 addressed to the Railway Board to the Official Side for re-examination of the issue. Official Side agreed to re-examine the issue on the points brought out by the Federation. Thereafter, a period of more than three months has passed neither instruction shave not been issued to the General Manager, Southern Railway nor there is any feedback to the Federation.

NFIR, therefore requests the Railway Board to let the Federation know the action taken in the matter.

    Yours faithfuly
